Questions & answers
Is this legal advice?
No. ILR Calculator is a planning tool that helps you organise dates and absences. Always verify requirements against official guidance or a qualified adviser.
Is this based on official Home Office guidance?
Yes. We aim to keep the date calculations aligned with current Home Office (UKVI) guidance on continuous residence, whole-day absence counting, grant-to-arrival absence time, rolling 12-month checks, and the 28-day application window.
We link to the relevant sources here: Appendix Continuous Residence and Home Office continuous residence guidance.
Is this free?
Yes. The app is free to use, with optional support if you’d like to help fund development.
Who has access to my data?
You own your data. We’ll never run ads, sell it, or share it with third parties. You can delete your account at any time.
Which routes do you support?
The app supports 2, 3, 5 and 10-year qualifying periods, including Long Residence planning dates.
Long Residence still has extra route-history and transitional rules, so unusual cases should be checked against Appendix Long Residence.
Free forever.
No subscriptions, no hidden limits. If the app helps, you can optionally support development.
